Job Description:

  • Working with the PM, they will shepherd the technical part of the project through the SSDLC through some of these high level steps:
  • Defining a project by:
    • Reviewing the PIF to ensure the suggested solution is still valid, altering where necessary.
    • JADing with the BA and other IT Teams to define the efforts surrounding the project. This is a high level definition of the project and its various phases.
    • JADing with the development teams to get their efforts further defined, estimates clarified and have this definition entered into TFS.
    • Working with QA and ITIL to define the promotion steps to move the solution from environment to environment
    • Working with the PM to define the technical aspects of the project.
    • Defining the turn over to prod support to ensure they’re aware of what is coming into the production environment.
  • They will be the technical lead for Enterprise projects going through our SSDLC and work with:

  • Provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization, from strategic decision making through to the project planning level.
  • Provide technical direction by developing/recommending alternatives and creative solutions that are both effective and efficient in cost and process.
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with Independent Health business unit leaders and system users to understand business requirements, service expectations and priorities/ preferences for the organization’s systems.
  • Bring forth an enterprise perspective in all work activities.
  • Collaborate with other Architects and other resources to create, refine and implement organizational design and development standards.
  • Develop and maintain high level design plans for the logical and technical structure for IT systems and processes.
  • Gain approval and organizational commitment for systems, infrastructure and software plans from appropriate IT and business unit leaders.
  • Facilitate Requests for Information/Requests for Proposal to make strategic technology choices based on business requirements and information systems strategy, principles and structure.
